Park Place is Gateless!
Park Place now features a gateless entry and exit system to simplify the parking experience.
Customers using Park Place, located at 1 Park Place, can now enter and exit the garage without pulling a ticket, swiping a credit card, or waiting for a gate to lift.
How it Works
- On arrival at the garage, simply drive in and park. License plate reader (LPR) technology at the garage entrance will capture each vehicle’s license plate to activate the start of a parking session.
- Find a spot and park.
- Use your smartphone to scan the QR code displayed on signage throughout the garage.
- Follow the prompts to enter your phone number, license plate number, and payment information to start your parking session.
- Walk away!
After activating a parking session, customers end the session by simply leaving the garage (the payment will be automatically calculated for the amount of time parked).

How to Use Validations
City Residents Can Still Park Free for Two Hours with Validation
City residents can continue to park free for two hours with validation. To secure a new QR code-based validation, contact SP+ at annapolisparking@spplus.com or (443) 648-3087.
Business Parking and Park Shop & Dine
Parking will also be easier for patrons of businesses that use validations and the Park Shop & Dine program. Businesses using these programs can contact SP+ at annapolisparking@spplus.com or (443) 648-3087 for QR code-based validations.
Monthly Parking Customers
Monthly parking customers have been contacted by Metropolis and asked to update their information. Those customers who are part of a group account should reach out to the manager of their organizational account with questions. Individual monthly parkers should contact SP+ at annapolisparking@spplus.com or (443) 648-3087.
Enforcement
Parking at Park Place Garage will be enforced, with citations issued to vehicles failing to pay within 24 hours of their visit. The fine for a failure to pay is $25 + $5.25 + ORIGINAL PARKING FEE and the citation will follow the normal flow as dictated by city code.
Park Place Joins Metropolis Network
Park Place is now part of the Metropolis parking network, which includes 4,000 parking locations across North America. Any visitor having completed their transaction at Park Place will become a Metropolis member and will no longer need to scan QR codes at this garage or any Metropolis platform-equipped facility in future visits. They can drive in, park, and drive out when it is time to leave. Acknowledgment and receipt will be sent to each customer for each parking session. Customers will be able to modify payment method(s), card(s) if expired, and manage vehicles on their account.
